By train

Freiburg is located on the Intercity Express (ICE) /Intercity (IC) rail line connecting Frankfurt – Karlsruhe – Offenburg – Freiburg – Basel. Direct trains travel to Freiburg from all the major city centers in Germany as well as Basel and Zurich in Switzerland. From Strasbourg, France, a good rail connection operates via Offenburg.

By plane

International airports
There are regular train connections to Freiburg from the airports of Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Basel, Zurich and Strasbourg.

By car

Motorway A5 Frankfurt-Karlsruhe-Basel exit Freiburg Mitte – the route is signposted. Motorway A81 Stuttgart-Singen and B31 Donaueschingen, Titisee-Neustadt. Pass Freiburg on Schwarzwaldstraße in the direction of the motorway feeder road Mitte – the approach is signposted.

By public transport

You can reach the Konzerthaus Freiburg easily by tram from the city center, central station, and various other stops in Freiburg. Take tram line 4 (direction Zähringen) and get off at “Stadttheater” or “Hauptbahnhof”. From there, it’s just a short walk to the Konzerthaus.
